Objective:  Students will learn the uses of polarizers in science, engineering and technology fields through hands-on demonstrations.

3D-Computer Graphics-Physical Sciences ACES Computer Laboratory (Computer Lab, Laptop, Two LCD Projectors, Polarizer Filters, Lenticular Screen, Polarizer Glasses, Box)

Objective:  Students will learn the importance of mathematics in computer-graphics animation through hands-on use of an online three-dimensional parametric plotter and 3D-visualization.  Students' stereoscopic vision also will be tested.

Objective:  Students will learn to construct a polarimeter to measure air pollution while being introduced to trigonometry concepts of angles and measures.

Make Your Own Polarizers from Gel Glue-Physical Science 204 (Goggles, Scissors, Irons, Kitchen Thermometer, Clear Packing Tape, Iodine Tincture, Polarizers, Spectrophotometers, Large Plastic Cups, Popsicle Sticks, Gel Glue, Borax, Water, Box)

Objective:  Students will learn to make their own polarizers and blood clot slime with ordinary household items.

3D-Movies-Physical Science 115 (Two Video Cameras, Tripod, Video Cassettes, Two LCD Projectors, Polarizer Filters, Lenticular Screen, Polarizer Glasses, Box)

Objective:  Students will learn to make and project their own three-dimensional movies.  Students' stereoscopic vision also will be tested.
